Visited this place last year. A ghost town in midst of nothing, next to former NS Ordensburg Vogelsang in the Eifel. After WWII the inhabitants wanted to build up their village again, but they have been thrown out by the british army. They used this place as a practice area for military drill until 2006. Only the church and the school survived the bombardements, some foundations of old houses are still left. Very disturbing atmosphere. Every brick left is breathing life, but nobody is living here anymore. Despite the scary history of this place, I felt nothing but peace here, I don't know why.
